BlackBerry Users Get Ready For Some Music Sharing

Are there any BlackBerry users in the house? I have some great news for you. Research in Motion, which is the company that makes the BlackBerry smartphones, has  released a brand new music sharing application for its popular messaging service. According to sources from the BlackBerry phone family, this new music sharing and downloading application is available to all its subscribers here in the US.

The name of the application is BBM Music and it will allow BlackBerry users to choose up to 50 songs from a catalog of millions of tracks for their own personal play list. After saving their choice of songs, BlackBerry users can share songs from their personal play list with friends who use instant messaging. By allowing you and your friends to share songs with each other, you will in essence have the ability to significantly grow your play list.

It is my understanding that the songs from your personal play list will be cached. This is a great future, since it will allow you to listen to your music even when you are out of your wireless coverage area. So for those BlackBerry owners who use the subway or fly a lot, you will still be able to listen to your favorite music.

Which BlackBerry Phones Qualify For BBM Music

One thing that I must point out to you is that your BlackBerry must use the OS 5  or higher, and you must have BlackBerry Messenger 6.0 or higher. Furthermore, it is recommended that you get an SD card in order to save your songs there.
